Soccer Recap: Rock Hill Takes a Loss

Rock Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ironton Fighting Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Ironton this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in September.

Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Ironton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7-2 record this season.

Rock Hill will venture away from home to square off against Gallia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rock Hill's defense better be ready for this one: Gallia Academy have averaged an impressive 5.4 goals per game this season. As for Ironton, they will host Portsmouth West at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
