Preview: Kansas School for the Deaf Jackrabbits vs. Frontier School of Excellence

Kansas School for the Deaf is 0-5 against Frontier School of Excellence since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Kansas School for the Deaf Jackrabbits will head out on the road to face off against Frontier School of Excellence at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Kansas School for the Deaf took care of business in their home opener back in November. They managed a 59-54 victory over Ozanam.

Kansas School for the Deaf's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eli Grove led the charge by scoring 23 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of EJ Wigley, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Frontier School of Excellence has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 24 points or more this season. They took their contest at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 63-26 victory over Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-14.

Frontier School of Excellence can attribute much of their success to Merwis Ramirez Rodriguez, who scored 16 points, and Mohamed Yussuf, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Henry Uti, who scored 8 points.

Kansas School for the Deaf's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Frontier School of Excellence, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Kansas School for the Deaf took a serious blow against Frontier School of Excellence when the teams last played back in February, falling 70-25. Can Kansas School for the Deaf avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
