Softball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Summit Academy last Monday, Highland came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the East Leopards on Tuesday, falling 12-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 13-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Highland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Eicholtz, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Highland has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for East, their record is now 4-8.

Highland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-9 win against Judge Memorial Catholic on the 11th. As for East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 20-10 victory against West on the 10th.
