Soccer Game Preview: Redlands vs. La Quinta

The Redlands Terriers will be taking part in a tournament against the La Quinta Blackhawks at 9:50 a.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Redlands' offense. They fell just short of Eastside by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Terriers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 984th, while the Lions are ranked 74th).

Meanwhile, La Quinta also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Indian Springs on Friday, falling 3-0.

Redlands' loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for La Quinta, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1.

Redlands beat La Quinta 5-3 when the teams last played back in December of 2018. Does Redlands have another victory up their sleeve, or will La Quinta turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
