After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Indian River, Deep Creek was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Norfolk Christian Ambassadors 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Ambassadors on September 8th, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Deep Creek got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 28-30, 26-28, 25-15, 15-8.

Deep Creek pushed their record up to 4-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Norfolk Christian, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Deep Creek will host Oscar Smith at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norfolk Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Cape Henry Collegiate at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
