Basketball Game Preview: Central Hawks vs. Taylor County Vikings

Having just played yesterday, the Central Hawks will get right back to it and host the Taylor County Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Central ended up a good deal behind Chattahoochee County and lost 52-37.

Meanwhile, Taylor County entered their contest against Macon County on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Taylor County lost to Macon County at home by a 48-32 margin. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Taylor County, their defeat ended a 21-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-2.

Central was dealt a bruising 62-16 loss at the hands of Taylor County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Taylor County's Jaydah Ford, who posted 18 points and eight boards.
