Volleyball Recap: South Gate Comes Up Short

South Gate saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears by a score of 2-1. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

South Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Port of Los Angeles, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.

South Gate and Port of Los Angeles should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Rams (ranked 351st) will meet Garfield (ranked 1144th) at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Port of Los Angeles will square off against St. Monica at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (329 vs. 705).
