Baseball Recap: Newton South's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Newton South's last matchup with Weston could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Lions lost 8-1 to the Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since April 23rd.

Newton South's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Weston, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 13-4 record this season.
