Baseball Recap: Lamar Consolidated's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

While Lamar Consolidated put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Hitchcock. The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs came out on top against the Hitchcock Bulldogs by a score of 5-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Lamar Consolidated's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Johnson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Lamar Consolidated moved to 2-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Hitchcock, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Coincidentally, Lamar Consolidated and Hitchcock will both be playing Columbia the next time they take the field. Lamar Consolidated will head out to face Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Hitchcock will host them at 6:20 p.m. on March 15th.
