 Southport is 0-3 against Warren Central since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Southport Cardinals will be playing at home against the Warren Central Warriors at 7:00  p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the pair posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Southport  on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Indianapolis Arsenal Technical out of the water with a  41-12 final score. The  victory was just what Southport needed coming off of a  42-14 loss in their prior  match.
 Southport's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Tony Taylor led the charge by rushing for 64 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of  Riley Matlock, who rushed for 90 yards and  a touchdown.
 Another reason for the win was Southport's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Leading the way was  Ramon Martinez and his two sacks.
 Warren Central can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Friday. They took their  game at home  with ease, bagging a  49-0 victory over Perry Meridian. The  victory was just what Warren Central needed coming off of a  47-3 defeat in their prior  matchup.
  Jaylan Mcmoore was on fire: he rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Mcmoore is on a roll when it comes to  rushing yards, as he's now  rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.  James Clark was another key contributor, rushing for 61 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
 Southport's win  ended a nine-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-8. As for Warren Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
 Southport took a serious blow against Warren Central  when the teams last played  back in October of 2022, falling  58-0. Can Southport avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
