Volleyball Recap: Raegan Brewer Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Odyssey Institute

After losing to Odyssey Institute the last time they met, Willow Canyon decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats came out on top against the Minotaur by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Willow Canyon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Raegan Brewer led the charge by getting eight assists and seven aces.

Brewer wasn't the only good server: Willow Canyon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Willow Canyon's record now sits at 5-1. As for Odyssey Institute, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Willow Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Estrella Foothills on the 30th. As for Odyssey Institute, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Somerton at 5:00 p.m. This will be the Minotaur's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
