Softball Game Preview: Hall Titans vs. Bristol Eastern Lancers

The Hall Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Bristol Eastern Lancers at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Hall is looking for their season's first win.

Newington hit Hall with a ten-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans came up short against the Nor'easters, falling 20-1.

Bristol Eastern came out on top against Farmington on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run third inning. The Lancers blew past the River Hawks 18-6. The victory continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the River Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Lyla Wegiel was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Riley Macdonald also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Hall's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bristol Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Hall suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Bristol Eastern in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
