Volleyball Recap: West Fork Gators vs. Magnolia West Mustangs

West Fork suffered their biggest defeat since September 3rd on Friday. They came up short against the Magnolia West Mustangs, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Gators seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-13.

Khloe Lilly paced West Fork's offense, picking up eight kills. Lilly got some help from Allison Lewis and her 19 assists. Madalyn Aaron controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Magnolia West can attribute much of their success to Lauren Brown, who had 20 digs. Brown is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last eight games she's played.

West Fork's loss dropped their record down to 32-13. As for Magnolia West, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 27-11 record this season.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. West Fork will challenge Montgomery at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. West Fork is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Magnolia West, they will take on Waller at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
