Basketball Recap: Quitman County Takes a Loss

Quitman County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-65 heartbreaker at the hands of the Miller County Pirates. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-52 back in December of 2024.

Quitman County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Miller County, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-12.

Quitman County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 97-68 loss against Terrell County on the 1st. Miller County has also already played their next contest, a 56-53 defeat against Pelham on the 1st.
