Baseball Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Charleston Tigers. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lamar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jody Humphrey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was Humphrey's first of the season.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Charleston, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Lamar will challenge Pottsville at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up.
