Soccer Recap: Irvin Comes Up Short

If Irvin was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mountain View on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rockets fell 3-1 to the Bowie Bears on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Bowie this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in January.

Irvin has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Bowie, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Irvin will take on rival Harmony Science Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bowie is set to challenge their familiar foe Ysleta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
