Soccer Recap: Geraldine Comes Up Short

The matchup between Geraldine and Sylvania on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Geraldine Bulldogs came up short against the Sylvania Rams, falling 7-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Geraldine's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-2. As for Sylvania, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Geraldine will venture away from home to square off against Collinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Geraldine has given up an average of 3.7 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Sylvania, they will head out on the road to challenge Geraldine at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th.
