Basketball Recap: Martensdale-St. Mary's Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wayne

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Martensdale-St. Mary). They took down the Wayne Falcons 65-47 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Martensdale-St. Mary's pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Wayne, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5.

Martensdale-St. Mary's wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-29 victory against Southeast Warren on the 14th. As for Wayne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-25 loss against Central Decatur on the 14th.
