Soccer Recap: Lewis & Clark's Undefeated Season over After 12 Games

Lewis & Clark fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Gonzaga Prep on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bullpups by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lewis & Clark came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Gonzaga Prep are ranked 72nd).

Having lost for the first time this season, Lewis & Clark fell to 10-1-1. As for Gonzaga Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5-2 record this season.

Lewis & Clark didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against Central Valley on the 25th. As for Gonzaga Prep, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against University on the 25th.
