Softball Recap: Mohave Accelerated Picks Up 12th Consecutive Victory

Mohave Accelerated put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Kingman Academy Tigers by a score of 6-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-1 last Wednesday.

Kennedy Lamb made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tanner Banks, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Scout Moffett also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Mohave Accelerated's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Kingman Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-4.

Mohave Accelerated and Kingman Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. The Patriots will square off against Wickenburg at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (11 vs. 172). Meanwhile, Kingman Academy (ranked 42nd) will meet Trivium Prep (ranked 230th) at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday.
