Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Patriots vs. Westlake Academy Blacksmiths

Make it 21 blowout wins for the Victory Christian Academy Patriots this season. They claimed a resounding 60-26 win over Westlake Academy at home. The win was nothing new for Victory Christian Academy as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Leading Victory Christian Academy to victory were Ainsley Hawk and Kassie Northcutt. Hawk scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Northcutt scored 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Northcutt has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Oates, who scored 15 points along with two steals.

Lexi Burdick and Cambrie Merrifield certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Burdick scored 19 points, while Merrifield scored no points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Westlake Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Victory Christian Academy posted 16 assists.

Victory Christian Academy's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44.2 points. As for Westlake Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-12.
