It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Garden Plain had no problem doing just that on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Smoky Valley Vikings. The victory was familiar territory for the Owls, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Garden Plain easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20.

Garden Plain's win bumped their record up to 28-8. As for Smoky Valley, they dropped their record down to 12-25 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Garden Plain has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Southeast of Saline on the 20th. As for Smoky Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Trinity Academy on the 20th.
