Starkville took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Murrah 67-32. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Olive Branch's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Fayette Ware 65-59. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Conquistadors came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked tenth in Mississippi, while the Wildcats are ranked 57th in Tennessee).

Starkville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Olive Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
