Volleyball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Comes Up Short

Cimarron-Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Douglas Tigers. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in August of 2022.

Tayla Singleton paced Cimarron-Memorial's offense, picking up five kills. Singleton got some help from Kiera Kauhi and her nine assists. Finally, McKayllie Ernestburg kept Cimarron-Memorial's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Cimarron-Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Douglas, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Cimarron-Memorial has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Marina on the 22nd. As for Douglas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Mountain Ridge on the 23rd.
