Garden Grove is 1-7 against Fullerton since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Argonauts will welcome the Indians at 5:30 p.m. Garden Grove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Garden Grove's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Ocean View as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Argonauts haven't had any issues with the Seahawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hailee Le and Nevaeh Sosa did most of the damage at the plate: Le went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Sosa got on base in three of her four plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs. Those six stolen bases gave Sosa a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nati Sualua-Orozco, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Garden Grove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Fullerton fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Long Beach Poly on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 8-2 to the Jackrabbits. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Katelynn Mathews was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Melia Vera was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
Fullerton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Garden Grove, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Garden Grove's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's game. The Argonauts have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Fullerton, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Garden Grove continue to outrun the ball?
