There's no place like home for Paola, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Burlington Wildcats on Thursday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win back in September.

Paola never let Burlington on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Berkley Meinig paced Paola's offense, picking up ten kills. Meinig got some help from Kamryn Winterscheid and her 15 assists. Vanessa Haas controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Loss or not, Burlington got some senior leadership from Jaycee Belcher and Taylor Kvas. Belcher had 21 digs, while Kvas had ten digs.

With the win, Paola broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 15-5. As for Burlington, with the defeat, they broke their 14-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-4.

Paola has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Jayhawk Linn on the 4th. As for Burlington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Osawatomie on the 7th.
