Softball Recap: Chestnut Ridge Extends Home Winning Streak to 14

Chestnut Ridge won against Penn Cambria last Wednesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Lions put the hurt on the Bedford Bisons with a sharp 12-3 win. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bisons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Chestnut Ridge's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Bedford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chestnut Ridge will face off against rival Huntingdon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 2.5, the Bearcats 1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bedford is set to square off against their familiar foe Penn Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
