The Kuna Kavemen will venture away from home to take on the Ridgevue Warhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kuna is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Kuna is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Owyhee, who was ranked second at the time (Kuna was ranked 16th). Kuna took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Owyhee on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Kavemen in their meetings with the Storm: they've now lost four in a row.

Kuna saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Sperry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Ridgevue's offense. They fell 5-0 to Eagle on Friday. The Warhawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kuna's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Ridgevue, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1.

Kuna's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's match. Kuna has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Ridgevue, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Kuna continue to outrun the ball?

Kuna was able to grind out a solid victory over Ridgevue in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, winning 10-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kuna since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
