After low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Goreville brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They put the hurt on the Vienna Eagles with a sharp 14-8 win on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blackcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Breanna (Brea) Suits was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
