Softball Recap: Tullahoma Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

While Tullahoma's win against Franklin County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats skirted past the Rebels 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won eight in a row.

Amaya Sharp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madison Goad, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleigha Raby, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Tullahoma pushed their record up to 19-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Franklin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-19.

Looking ahead, Tullahoma will head out on the road to face off against Giles County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
