Basketball Game Preview: Shields Panthers vs. Marengo Panthers

The Shields Panthers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Marengo Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shields will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Monday, Shields blew past Sweet Water, posting a 56-1 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 35 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Marengo unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shields.

Shields is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Marengo, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-4.

Shields was able to grind out a solid win over Marengo in their previous meeting on Saturday, winning 53-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shields since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
