Baseball Game Preview: East Webster Wolverines vs. Hamilton Lions

East Webster has gone a perfect 3-0 against Hamilton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Lions at 12:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

East Webster is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Bruce 12-1 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolverines considering their two-run performance the game before.

Parker Tenhet tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

East Webster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

Meanwhile, Hamilton waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with an 11-4 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Cooper Hill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Tez Danner and Ian Nichols did most of the damage at the plate: Danner got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run, while Nichols got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Myles Self, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for East Webster, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

East Webster came out on top in a nail-biter against Hamilton when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 13-12. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
