Softball Recap: Eastwood Troopers vs. Midland Legacy Rebels
Eastwood had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged the Midland Legacy Rebels out 7-5. The victory was familiar territory for Eastwood who now have five in a row.
Alexis Corona was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Maya Campos, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Eastwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 31-8-1 record this season. As for Midland Legacy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11-1.
Eastwood will challenge Keller on Thursday. Keller is coming into the contest with six straight wins on the road, so Eastwood will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Midland Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
