Football Recap: Legacy Starts off Right with Win over Maywood CES

Legacy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the Maywood CES Wolfpack with a sharp 33-7 victory. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolfpack, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jason Rodriguez, who rushed for 41 yards and three scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Edward Novelo, who threw for 232 yards and a pair of TDs on only 16 passes.

Legacy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 42-12 loss against Lincoln on the 28th. As for Maywood CES, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-15 win against Mendez on the 28th.
