Basketball Recap: Hancock County Takes a Loss

Hancock County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost to the Lanesville Eagles on the road by a 94-79 margin.

Lanesville found their leader in freshman Nolin Pearce, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 24 points and five assists. Pearce also set a new season-high mark in field goal percentage with 75%. Braydon Hodges was another key player, putting up 13 points along with six boards and five steals.

Hancock County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Lanesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-12 record this season.

Hancock County has already played their next contest (against Grayson County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lanesville also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Crawford County.
