South County and Fairfax are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2021, but likely not for long. The Stallions will square off against the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Woodson 10-4 on Monday. The Stallions have beaten the Cavaliers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cavaliers has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Fairfax hadn't done well against Lake Braddock recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lions walked away with a 3-0 win over the Bruins. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Fairfax pushed their record up to 8-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for South County, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

South County might still be hurting after the 15-9 loss they got from Fairfax when the teams last played back in April. Can the Stallions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
