Football Recap: Poudre Impalas vs. Loveland Red Wolves
Poudre won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Loveland Red Wolves. Considering the last time the Impalas couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.
Loveland found their leader in sophomore Deon Christopher, who rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those 138 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Christopher. Noah Kuberry handled things on the ground, rushing for 116 yards.
Poudre's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Loveland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
As of now, neither Poudre nor Loveland have any future games scheduled.
