Basketball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rockdale County Bulldogs. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 67-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Heritage now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Rockdale County, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-5.

Heritage will take on Redan in a holiday battle at at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockdale County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Luella at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rockdale County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Luella likes a good challenge.
