Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lutheran). They snuck past the Lincolnwood Lancers with a 62-56 victory on Friday. This was payback for the Crusaders, who suffered a 51-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tucker Armentrout, who went 5-for-9 en route to 19 points and three steals. Bryce Cowdrey was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Lutheran's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lincolnwood, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Lutheran will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Nokomis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincolnwood, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Berlin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
