1A Conference 9 recap November 13, 2013
Tarboro extended the longest winning streak in 1A Conference 9 this week by beating North Edgecombe, 47-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Vikings.
Tarboro took down the Warriors 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
5-foot-10 quarterback Clay Wagner of Riverside is the league leader in passing yards this season with 954. He has also thrown 9 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Romalik Parker. The South Creek star has 23 catches for 463 yards.
Rocky Mount Prep made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 14,005 from 14,111. The improvement was the result of a 42-0 victory over Rocky Mount Prep last week.
