Baker dropped down to 4-7 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Theodore Bobcats by a score of 54-51. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 61-46 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.
As for Theodore, their win bumped their record up to 5-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Theodore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordyn Woodyard, who posted 15 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Collins, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.
Coming up, Baker will host Orange Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Theodore, they will be playing at home against Williamson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
