Softball Recap: East Palestine Wins Going Away Against East Liverpool

East Palestine won the last time they faced East Liverpool and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Potters. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Kennedy Andre made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Andre was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Taylor Foster was a standout: she scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Maddison Foster, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

East Palestine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Liverpool only posted an OBP of .318.

East Palestine now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Liverpool, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Palestine will face off against Columbiana at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Clippers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for East Liverpool, they will take on Beaver Local at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Potters' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Beavers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
