Volleyball Recap: Mountain Crest Takes a Loss

Mountain Crest lost against Weber back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1.

Makell Crofts paced Mountain Crest's offense, picking up five kills. Crofts really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 16. Finally, Kennedy Sautter kept Mountain Crest's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Weber's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tesyn Stewart led the charge by getting nine digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Scarlett Smith, who had 12 assists and three digs.

Mountain Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Weber, the win (which was their third in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 5-6.

Mountain Crest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Westlake on the 6th. As for Weber, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Davis on the 5th.
