Jake Milton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Milton wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Micah Billig, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Chaminade-Madonna came tearing into Tuesday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Mavericks 8-1. Considering the Lions have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Spencer Krasner tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Miguel Roa, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Vargas, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Chaminade-Madonna was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pine Crest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439.
