Basketball Game Preview: Lakeside Knights vs. Stockton Tigers

The Lakeside Knights will take on the Stockton Tigers in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside has given up an average of 60.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Lakeside ended up a good deal behind Bennington and lost 67-52. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Lakeside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Eli Schmitt, who shot 47% from the field en route to 18 points and three steals, and Ryker Remus, who went 5-for-6 to rack up 15 points and five rebounds. The matchup was Schmitt's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Coby Cline, who posted nine points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Stockton came up short against Tescott on Tuesday and fell 63-55.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Stockton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
