Basketball Recap: San Antonio Christian Takes a Loss

San Antonio Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 41-23 to the St. Anthony Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1269th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 600th).

San Antonio Christian's record now sits at 3-12. As for St. Anthony, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

San Antonio Christian will take on Nixon-Smiley in a tournament on Friday. As for St. Anthony, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Joseph Academy at 3:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
