Volleyball Recap: Gridley Beats Marysville for Their Third Straight Win

Gridley waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Marysville Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Iris Counihan paced Gridley's offense, picking up ten kills. Counihan got some help from Isabel Santillan and her 18 assists. Tati Rivero controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gridley's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Marysville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Gridley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Red Bluff on the 23rd. As for Marysville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against East Nicolaus on the 23rd.
