It was a good run, but Sandia Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on October 14th.

Sandia Prep actually scored more points across those five sets (107-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 19-25, 26-24, 25-23, 18-25, 15-10.

Sandia Prep's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Looking ahead, Sandia Prep is taking a road trip to challenge St. Pius X at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Cuba at 5:15 p.m.
