Baseball Recap: Bellbrook Comes Up Short

Bellbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Smyrna Bulldogs.

Bellbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Smyrna, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellbrook will face off against Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give Bellbrook their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Smyrna, they will head out to face off against Stewarts Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Smyrna's pitchers better be ready for this one: Stewarts Creek has averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
