Softball Recap: Hoggard Vikings vs. Topsail Pirates

After losing to Topsail the last time they met, Hoggard decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Hoggard never let Topsail get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Friday. The game was the first time the Vikings have beaten the Pirates on their field since April 27, 2021.

Macey Ciamillo made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
